King Salman Square in Riyadh, KSA

King Salman Square is the most significant public open space within the Diriyah Gate masterplan, a grand civic threshold providing high-quality public realm connecting the surrounding cultural and hospitality assets.

Designed as the primary events space for the entire Diriyah precinct with capacity for 20,000 attendees, it will host an extensive calendar of local, national, and international events.

Conserve was appointed as Construction Stage Sustainability Consultant managing a tri-certification for LEED v4 BD+C, MOSTADAM D+C, and SITES (Sustainable SITES Initiative) Gold ratings.

The simultaneous pursuit of three certification frameworks  including SITES which focuses on sustainable land design and management  required a highly coordinated approach to site ecology, stormwater management, native planting, construction activity controls, and outdoor thermal comfort.
